Ariana Ghalambor is a 16-year-old senior at Redlands East Valley High School. She is of mixed race and truly embraces her culture as a part of who she is. Her mission is to help our community have access to resources through clubs she runs such as the school’s Gay-Straight Alliance. Ghalambor states that digital journalism is her favorite way to vent. Ghalambor especially enjoys opinion articles where she can discuss issues of racism, discrimination, and activism. Outside of school, Ghalambor paints and does yoga. After high school, Ghalambor plans on going to medical school to pursue her dream of becoming a doctor. Ghalambor says that she is determined “to be the change in the healthcare system.” This school year, Ghalambor has two editorial columns called “Activism with Ari” and “Art with Ari.»
