
Mia Aranda is a 16-year-old junior at Redlands East Valley High School and this is her third year being a part of La Plaza. Mia is the CEO and Culture editor of La Plaza and wants to help her community learn about and see the stories going on in the world, while improving her writing skills. When she was middle school, she did two years of yearbook, and once she got to high school, she began digital journalism. She is a sprinter for track and field and a part of a club called Wildcats for Change. Outside of school, Mia loves to go biking, geocaching, drawing on her iPad and watching movies with her family. She has three dogs named Churro, Pacquiao and Sushi who she enjoys playing with.
