Disney announced that they will be closing Disneyland in Anaheim, CA, Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL and Disneyland Paris, France on March 12, 2020. The Disney cruise lines are also being suspended until the end of the month at the earliest. These closures have occur as more COVID-19 cases are confirmed.
Disneyland Shanghai, Tokyo and Hong Kong have already closed, since the novel virus has spread through China and Japan.
Disney announced that they will continue to pay their employees during the closure. Bob Chapek, who replaced Bob Iger as CEO of Disney in February of 2020, also said that he will be extending all annual passes that were valid for park entry at the time of closing.
Cast members of Disneyland have confirmed that some of them will still be working, largely the janitorial department. It has also been confirmed that the ducks at Disneyland will continue to be fed during the closure.
Chapek has confirmed that the parks will be closed through the end of March, and any further closures are to be determined.
