The Kansas City Chiefs triumphed over the San Francisco 49ers 31-20 to win Super Bowl LIV. A catastrophic collapse from San Francisco late in the game led to their loss. With the football, a 20-10 lead, and 11:57 left in the game, the 49ers strayed from their winning formula of running the football. Eleven passes and five rushes within that time frame produced unsuccessful, short drives. The lack of rest for San Francisco’s defense allowed the speedy Chiefs offense to score twenty-one points in just nine minutes. Yet again, Kyle Shanahan’s offense played terrible situational football with a big lead in the Super Bowl.
