Students from Redlands High School have different ways of organizing themselves for their classes in order to fulfil their academic responsibilities. Shelby Andrade is one of these students. She is a bilingual student at Redlands High School who participates in the Circus team at the Redlands community YMCA.
Andrade plans all of her activities in her agenda and gives each class a fixed time. Andrade wakes up every morning earlier than most students to finish any incomplete homework.
When Andrade starts working on her homework, she starts off by powering off her phone to free herself from distractions.
Andrade said, “My academics come first before anything else because my education is what is going to give me a successful future.”
Andrade has two honors classes, English and biology. Her first priority is her academic life.
