To start off the 2019-2020 school year, Redlands East Valley High School art teacher Tracy Massimiano had her classes create “All About Me” boxes.
Students from Advanced Studio Art, Drawing CP, and Art CP were asked to draw different things about themselves on each side of the box. This included a self portrait, age, grade, favorite food, what they love, favorite colors, their names, and top goal.
The boxes were colored using colored pencils and followed a printed template on regular paper. Massimiano glued cardstock to the back of the paper in order to make the boxes more sturdy.
Once students finished coloring, they cut, folded, and glued their boxes together, leaving the top open. They then answered several questions about themselves to put inside their completed boxes.
The “All About Me” boxes are currently displayed in Massimiano’s classroom F-108 on the Redlands East Valley campus.
