Kelly Johnston, currently a 17-year-old senior at Citrus Valley High School is the Layout editor for La Plaza. She has been with the newspaper since its start of about six months ago. Johnston originally joined La PLaza because of its bilingual aspect, as her spanish teacher referred her to it. Spanish is one of her favorite school subjects, so she saw this as an opportunity to expand her knowledge of it. Johnston also participates in many extra curriculars, being the co-editor in chief of the school’s yearbook, vice president of Jesus at Citrus, president of DIY Club and a member of Compact Club. When Johnston graduates this year she hopes to attend a Christian university, although she is still unsure of the correct college and major for her.
